Yeah, I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this one either. It's unlike other photos throughout my collections. It's messy and grainy and a bit blurry, and totally out of my style. However, I chose to include this photo because I feel that it conveys the emotion and drama of the moment when it was taken. In 4 meters of water off the coast of San Diego where massive swells tossed us back and forth along the seagrass, birds dove in pursuit of small fish that hid among the foliage. I swung my camera around to capture a photo of this bird that sped by me, and this was the result. To me, it is similar to Paul Nicklen's leopard seal photo in how it was taken.
